Waitā is the whetū connected to the vast oceans and the abundance of the sea. She represents the gifts of Tangaroa & the kai gathered from the moana and our enduring relationship with the salt waters that have sustained our people for generations. Waitā reminds us to honour the ocean with respect, gratitude, and kaitiakitanga, recognising that its wellbeing is inseparable from our own.
Inspired by the movement and beauty of the moana, these handcrafted ear cuffs embody the essence of Waitā.
Crafted from waterproof PVD gold-plated stainless steel, each ear cuff features cascading PVD chain adorned with hand-carved NZ Pounamu, vibrant pāua, and luminous Mother of Pearl. Delicate Mother of Pearl hearts and niho complete each taonga, symbolising aroha, resilience, and the deep connection between our people and the sea.
